The Luxardo family have created fine Italian liqueurs since 1821.  The essential oils of star anise are extracted by steam distilling and macerated in alcohol. Luxardo Sambuca is then combined with Liquorice to give a spice, velvety flavour.  Can be enjoyed on its own or complemented as a layered shotail with Luxardo Limoncello.  Try it as a long drink by topping with lemonade.
